In a video posted on social media, Lisa can be seen being escorted out of the venue by four New York City police officers. She can be heard shouting: “I did nothing wrong. I didn’t touch my phone. I want to see Matt Rife because he is a friend of mine.”

On Twitter, Lisa hinted that her detention might be linked to the use of her phone during the show.

“Tonight I was arrested and harassed by the NYPD – they offered me the option to be 51/50 by ambulance and admitted to the hospital – or arrested for someone thinking I used my phone during @mattrife’s show. I am speechless by what I just endured. Traumatic, unnecessary, and extreme are at the top of my list of emotions”

Unlike many big-name comedians who avoid unwanted video recordings, Matt does not have this policy at his shows. However, he discourages people from taking photos or recording videos of performances to prevent jokes from being leaked on social media.

Lisa’s fans were quick to comment on the strange post, questioning the situation and her support for Matt, who has recently been involved in controversies. One fan wrote: “This is Rife! That’s what people say.” Another added: “I feel like anyone who voluntarily goes to a Matt Rife show deserves to be put in jail.”
